The instrument I use has the notes from F3 to C7; 44 strings, 3 octaves and a half (the mid C of the piano is C4.).  I guess this range is approximately the range of the tenor psalteries plus one higher octave.  In our group led by Makoto Kato, a professional guitar player and a psaltery builder who is also a member of The Psaltery Strings, we call the psaltery with this range <F> Psaltery. 
Instead of a video camera tripod, we use a guitar stand to hold our psalteries.  I put a piece of leather between my psaltery and the guitar stand to steady my psaltery.

that was pretty awesome! What size is that psaltery called? Curious, looks like it has way more strings than mine. Also curious how she is holding it steady, I don't see a tripod or anything holding it....
