Thank you again, Brenda,
About choreography, I feel very much the same way. Learning to play a certain song on the bowed psaltery, in my idea, is to decide the bow movement necessary to play the song; i.e. we must decide with which hand to play a certain note (when you do double-bowing), in which direction to move the bow (down stroke or up stroke), and which part of the bow we start the note (whether you start the note from the tip / the middle / the grip-end of the bow.  When we finish deciding these stuff we will end up with, so to say, a bow-movement program to play the song and through practicing the program over and over we will finally learn to play the song.

Yes, Nozomi, I had paid particularly close attention to how you used your bows to make that arpeggio part so very smooth, even at that fast tempo. Your playing is as beautiful to watch as it is to listen to. Sometimes I feel like choreographing the bow movements is as much a part of playing the bowed psaltery as anything else. Thank you again for sharing your lovely talents with us.

Thank you very much, Brenda!

I am extremely glad to read your comment.  I have been working on Cuckoo’s Nest for the last several month, trying to make my bowed psaltery sound as good as possible and in good rhythm, especially the arpeggio movement in the middle of the phrases. Again, thank you very much.
