Thank you very much, Brenda!  I'm glad that you could find the version done by SMAP.
The ladies who are playing the BP in the video are my students.  They are very, very delighted to read your message.  They got highly motivated and told me that they will work harder to be better bowed psaltery players.  Again thank you very much!

Thank you very much for the extra information. What a beautiful song it is. But I must say, that English version is way too jazzed up in my thinking. Your version and the man on SMAP do it with such a lovely and peaceful sound. Thank you for posting your songs; I always love to hear what you all are playing there in Japan.

Thank you very much, Brenda.

The title reads Yozora No Muko.  In English, it could be Beyond the Night Sky.

It was sung by a Japanese idols SMAP.  The song was released in 1998.

I found an English version in YouTube.  The lyrics sounds almost the same as the Japanese version, although there are some parts I cannot hear very clearly because the backup accompaniment is a little too loud for me.

Lovely. What is the name of this tune, please?

This video is a personal favorite because it shows a unique type of bowed psaltery with a gorgeous sound. When I heard it I broke out in goose bumps!
