I find myself double bowing more and more and finally got to thinking that shorter bows might make double bowing on fast songs easier.  Sometimes the two bows would want to tangle a bit.  So, I asked Rick Long if he'd make me 2 - 11" bows with horsehair and tension sliders.  For my small hands they work GREAT and I absolutely LOVE them but Rick said when he tried them his hands cramped up quite quickly.   Anyway,  last week I had him make me a connected double mini bow set (non adjustable) just for my tenor, and find I'm really enjoying that too.  So now I can triple bow w/ my minis for some songs.  I'll still use my longer bows for the baritone but for the fast songs the dulcimer group plays - these minis really help me keep up!

I'm not much of a techie really when it comes to the newer gadgets.  I'm a visual learner and best when I can watch someone  do something.  Technical manuals drive me crazy.  I had to watch the 2 hours of youtube tutorials on the Zoom to figure out the manual.  :)  Thankfully the magazine is more than half done with a couple more articles finished and ready to add.  Shouldn't take more than a week to finish up the rest of the 28 pg. magazine for March.

Hope to post new videos fairly soon.  Have my quarterly magazine to finish up for the SIBAA and lots of practice lately for the Renaissance Strings group.  THEN when I get past that, I have to figure out how to match the audio from the Zoom recorder to the video recordings I make at the same time.  Rick has tried to explain that to me but I haven't actually tried it yet, so that's another thing to learn.  Not enough hours in the day sometimes.

This video is a personal favorite because it shows a unique type of bowed psaltery with a gorgeous sound. When I heard it I broke out in goose bumps!
