The playing of Lorraine Duisit of Trapezoid and Maggie visited a builder in Scotland in the early eighties.
Who built your bowed psaltery?
No indication on the instrument. I bought it for Maggie at a second hand store about 25 years ago.
How long have you played the bowed psaltery?
Magie has been playing for about 25 years.
Do you perform with the bowed psaltery?
My wife has played it in performance a few places, including the Mariposa Folk Festival, but mainly at family gatherings and at home. Her main instruments are guitar, hammered dulcimer and voice.
My sister-in-law, Linda Yates, also plays the psaltery and sings and she and Maggie have played psaltery together.
I have played with it, but don't consider myself a psaltery player, just a fan.
Do you build bowed psalteries for sale?
Do you teach the bowed psaltery?
How did you find out about our Psaltery Strings network?
