The song for September is Rosin the Beau.
When I was researching this song I found several versions and a few different names which included "Acres of Clams". However, the name I liked best was Old Rosin, the Beau" which puts a different spin on the tittle.
I've heard it played fast and slow, but I believe it's meant to be played slow, as an Irish Air or waltz, but it also makes a lively jig.
Wikepedia has some interesting info;

Here is the sheet music. Two audio files are attached, one of melody and harmony at a moderate speed, the other is the melody only at a slower speed.

I just added a video of our member, Terry Kirby, playing Rosin the Beau at a quicker pace which is very nice as well!

Does anyone know the maker and the size of the psaltery demonstrated in the audio "attachments" for Rosin the Beau?
That instrument is so beautiful, haunting and rich.

I kinda figured that wasn't a psaltery......but if anyone could build a psaltery in that range and with that nice rich tone.....I'd sure be interested
Rick Long recently made a baritone psaltery with cello strings along the left side. You should
ask him about it. It plays baritone and bass I think.
Hi All, one of our members asked for this in tab and naming the notes is as close as I can come to tab for bowed psaltery in my mind. If anyone else has any ideas, let me know!
Amplified Psaltery with Cello Strings built by Rick Long
This video is a personal favorite because it shows a unique type of bowed psaltery with a gorgeous sound. When I heard it I broke out in goose bumps!
