I was tuning my Roosebeck Alto when the high E string broke. I was being quite careful and was tuning the right string but it's a new bowed psaltery so perhaps there had been some stress on the string before it arrived.
How do I go about finding a replacement? Would I just take the string remnant to a music store, get them to check the gauge and pick up some piano wire?
