Irene, thank you for your kind comments on "Scotland the Brave". To answer your questions, my psaltery is a D chromatic that was custom built last May by Rick Long from Clinton, TN. I have played psaltery for a little over a year ( I learned by watching youtube videos) but fell in love with it when I got this baritone. I wanted a D psaltery so it would be easier to play in the key of D with my local dulcimer group. When I got it I also started trying to play with two bows which I really enjoy. The woods in mine are curly ambrosia maple front and back and walnut sides. It has an internal pick-up and I use an amplifier sometimes. You can see the psaltery in better light if you look at my video "Sound of Silence". I can read music but prefer to play psaltery by ear so I youtube the songs I pick out so I won't forget them. I love getting input and suggestions from players who are farther down the road than I am in their skills so any suggestions you may have would be appreciated!

This video is a personal favorite because it shows a unique type of bowed psaltery with a gorgeous sound. When I heard it I broke out in goose bumps!
