I bought a “vintage” bowed psaltery from a gentleman in South Carolina via Reverb.com. It is a Brent Clark made in 1994...and looks almost exactly like a Noteworthy psaltery...except that it is walnut both front and back. 32 stings, alto. I unstrung it, cleaned it up, and restrung it with a set of multiple gauge guitar strings...probably heavier than I needed, but I did not know any better at the time. It is now settling after its first tuning. :) Though I learned a lot already in setting it up, now the real learning begins as I try to learn to play music on it.
Thank you. I have found some good videos on youtube to get me started.
