I'm in the planning stages of attempting to organize a small players group here in the local area. I currently play with one other psaltery player on a monthly basis which is fine but I would like to improve on that and invite beginners to join in. I have built up an inventory of instruments, some new and some gently used, that I would be willing share with new players to get them started.

I'm currently working on being able to play with two bows at once. It fairly obvious that my left hand should be playing the "sharps" but I was wondering how other players handle the cross-overs between the bows so they don't get in the way of eachother when moving up and down the instrument.
Any comments or recommendations???
As a builder of bowed psalteries, I needed a way to protect the top of instruments under construction from accidental damage during the installation of strings.
If you change your own strings, you know how easy it is to scratch or ding the finish when removing or installing strings. My solution may be an inexpensive way to protect your prized psaltery and you can make one yourself for just a dollar or two.
