Hi Trish,
I don't think Debra is in the Fiddlers now, but it is a large amorphous group and there are surely some I haven't met yet.
Sept. 24-26 turns out to be a weekend when I won't be able to get together with you. Actually, September is full of such weekends. I need to get control of my calendar! I hope we can get together some other time,

Trish, I've only been playing for a year but really love to play. I wish I had more time to practice. I've been working on learning songs 'by-ear' rather than reading - polishing up my sightsinging/ear training skills. It is nice to know someone else in Maine is playing folk instruments. :-)

Hi Trish,
It would be great meeting you when you visit Falmouth. Do you travel with your psalteries? Perhaps we could do some duets?

HI Trish, welcome. I love the recording of you playing your psaltery! You do not seem to have any problems bowing the sharps and flats. How big is your instrument? Does it stay in tune? Im having problems keeping mine in tune.

: ) That's funny Trish because I just started to play the mountain dulcimer and am afraid my psaltery is going to feel left out!!

This video is a personal favorite because it shows a unique type of bowed psaltery with a gorgeous sound. When I heard it I broke out in goose bumps!

If you are already on Tish's list, why don't you stop in and update your info? While your there take a look to see if there are new players in your area. Who knows, you might get together and make a recording.
