hmmm, Richard, that doesn't appear to be a psaltery bow in your hand!  Golf club? : )  I live next to a golf course, my patio overlooks the tee for the 6th hole. My Dad loved to watch the golfers when he came to visit. He loved golf.

Well, don't neglect your music!!!

I had skype for a while, can get that back and I JUST got a very inexpensive camcorder that is supposed to be able to double as a webcam. I haven't tried it yet. Video lessons would be wonderful and how fun to have a vide jam!!!! The internet is just an amazing thing isnt it? Let me know how that goes, I'm game to give it a shot!

Thanks for the update Richard. I'm looking forward to playing the baritone. Maybe one of these days I'll make the trip down to Rick's shop. I would love a lesson and even more I'd love to hear him play, he really is good.
I squeak and squak all the time with my psaltery. I wish I had started much earlier as well. I just love the psaltery but as with any instrument it takes time to get good. I'm trying to get over the fear of playing in front of people. I'm so nervous it makes my playing even worse, but I'm working on it. It took me months to get semi comfortable playing in front of my teacher!!

Hi Richard, I'd really love to attend. I've been considering it, but It depends on what happens with Tish's Bowed Psaltery Orchestra Weekend. Tish was trying to arrange it for April or May.
I'm really anxious for opportunities to play with other psaltrists (is that the term?). There just isn't much going on with the bowed psaltery where I live.
I'm hoping Tish will firm up a date soon so I can make plans!

Howdy Richard, You know how slow I can be. I thought I better jump on here and join in with the great company and other psaltery fanatics. Makes me feel right at home.

This video is a personal favorite because it shows a unique type of bowed psaltery with a gorgeous sound. When I heard it I broke out in goose bumps!

Tish's list is a valuable resource when searching for other players.

If you are already on Tish's list, why don't you stop in and update your info? While your there take a look to see if there are new players in your area. Who knows, you might get together and make a recording.
