Adapting a psaltery

I'm working on adding some.22 strings to my big psaltery so I can tune it an octave lower than middle C. Has anyone else ever done that? The instrument is really enormous and it seems a shame to waste all that length.

 Oh please be pushy,we need more content and we are one place that would get excited hearing about your efforts. Bowed Psaltery players are still a persecuted minority that needs all the encouragement they can get. Just the other day someone told me the BP was "insipid". There are a lot of poorly built Bowed Psalteries and bad players out there but many of us have been working to raise the bars and Psaltery Strings is the place to get the word out.
