The Sounds of the Season

Yesterday, I went to my sister's home to make tamales and catch up with my Sister, Elaine her husband, Greg and my brother, Gabe. Gabe who is a very talented guitarist/songwriter brought his Ibanez and I bought my baby Psaltery.  We played Silent NIght, Jingle Bells, Feliz Navidad and God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman. On Silent Night and Feliz Navidad, I did some improvisation…

The Psalms of the Psaltery

Posted on December 10, 2012 at 1:22am 6 Comments

It was a beautiful day in Vallejo, CA. I took out my Electric bike, put my baby Psaltery in the bike's basket and away we went. IT was a gorgeous day, sunny, cool and crisp. Hi, Evelyn. Saw your instant message tonight that you left this afternoon. I was at work, and I guess I'd left the BP site open all day. Didn't want you to think I'd ignored you.

Everything fine here after Hurricane Sandy. Hope all's well with you.

Maybe we can connect when we're both on at the same time.

I hope you enjoy your psaltery as much as I enjoy mine. Don't be shy about asking questions or posting.

This video is a personal favorite because it shows a unique type of bowed psaltery with a gorgeous sound. When I heard it I broke out in goose bumps!
