Do you own a bowed psaltery?
I own three.
How did you discover the bowed psaltery?
A friend had one.
Who built your bowed psaltery?
My first psaltery was made by Unicorn Strings. My second one, a tenor, was made by Rick Long of Ringing Strings. The third, also a tenor, was made by Dave Lucas.
How long have you played the bowed psaltery?
About seven years, but the first year was very casual.
Do you perform with the bowed psaltery?
Yes, I've performed with a dulcimer group and with a dulcimer partner as a volunteer music therapist for a local hospice. I've also played at much church a few times.
Do you build bowed psalteries for sale?

Hi Debra,

No, I never purchased a psaltry. I attended the Bluff Park Art Show this weekend and looked for the man who used to sell them there but did not see him. I would probably need to get one second-hand. I would love to barter for one! I have a keyboard I would trade for one! Anyway, thanks for offering to let me borrow your psaltry. I am so busy with piano teaching right now but would love to attend a jam session sometime! Happy music-making! Cindy
