Wall Mounting Bowed Psalteries

I've come up with a new design for a wall mount for psalteries and was wondering if there was enough interest in them to begin building more. Notice that a pin has been added for a place to hang the bow.  This design provides very secure mounting for the psaltery but it is very easy to remove or replace the instrument in the mount.  The attached picture is of the psalteries and mounts I am sending to the school in Alaska.

That's interesting Charlie, at some point I might want to wall mount some of my psalteries but I'm not ready to do that yet. It does look secure.

That is an interesting idea-it would be nice to have them for psalteries, just like wall mounts are available for other stringed intruments!  Would the design be able to adjust to accommodate psalteries within a few inches in size difference of each other/made by other luthiers, too? Or would you need specific measurements of each individual psaltery?

My goal in the design was to have a rugged, secure mount that would have a minimal impact on the sound (resonance) of the instrument, one that was pleasing to look at and one that was simple to use.

The wall mounts I have built in the past year have the ability to adjust a slight amount in length and width but with all the various builders and designs out there I need to customize the mount to fit specific psalteries.

This is a simple matter of having an outline of the psaltery drawn on a piece of paper showing the length, thickness and distance between the top pin and the tip of psaltery. 

One important improvement I made to these mounts is the ability to attach them to a tripod as well as on a wall.  I have installed a screw mount fitting identical in size to the commonly used camera screw hole found at the base of the cameras.   Now that I am "double bowing" when I play my psaltery, the tripod mount comes in really handy.
