Here is a recording of Revelation Song performed this morning in church. I was playing behind the singers, so the bowed psaltery is a little on the soft side but you can mostly hear it. There were 2 area mikes at the front. It doesn't need to be too loud anyway. All I did with the recording was trim in in Audacity and boost the levels as they were a bit low. As a beginner, I am happy with my playing, I didn't play a bum note and only got one growly spot in the bowing. But if you hear something to improve, please tell me.
Let me know what you think of using the BP for this type of music (contemporary praise). I was asked afterwards by a few people what the instrument was and it was neat to be able to show it to them.
Very nicely done. Just what an accompaniment is meant to be, enhancing but not stealing the show. Sort of like a beautiful stream in the background.
