On occasion I see that one on e-bay. I'll watch for it, I watch e-bay pretty closely
Here it is at Elderly Instruments, Gene -

Our member Ann Tucker is working on a self instruction booklet for beginning bowed psaltery!  I'm looking forward to the finished product!

Donna, thanks for mentioning my book.

I've  picked up so many helpful ideas about how to play the BP while being around other players.

Like the rosin… I just used it because it seemed you were supposed to. And I cleaned the rosin off the strings when I finished playing. I thought a build up on the strings was bad. I found out you want to leave some on the strings otherwise the bow slips and won't make as much of a note sound.

I wanted to create a book that puts all those helpful little tips into an easy to follow format for someone teaching themselves to play. Regular beginner books don't talk about this type of stuff.

I think that so many people who pick up the BP are teaching themselves to play in isolation. And I’d like to make it easier for those who don’t have a musical background to be able to enjoy playing.

For a sneak peek at my writing style and type of info in the book, I've created a free article on how to tune the BP.

Our newest member Melodye Whatley has co-authored a bowed psaltery book and CD which is available for sale at Music Makers, the link is below. Melodye plays with a group of 15! I'm hoping more of them will join us here at Psaltery Strings!

I've updated the dead end links that I found! Sorry about that.

This video is a personal favorite because it shows a unique type of bowed psaltery with a gorgeous sound. When I heard it I broke out in goose bumps!

Please sign up on the bowed psaltery players list

Tish's list is a valuable resource when searching for other players.

If you are already on Tish's list, why don't you stop in and update your info? While your there take a look to see if there are new players in your area. Who knows, you might get together and make a recording.
