Here's a short section of an article about a Ren Faire. (full article here http://www.sgvtribune.com/news/ci_18119112 )
Gregg Schneeman, a musician from Arcadia, played a bowed psaltery, a triangular wood instrument with strings played with two bows.
The instrument is rare because "those pesky violin things keep getting in the way," he told visitors. He passed the psaltery around and let his audience try playing.
For those who don't know of him, Gregg is a very talented bowed psaltery player and he's been at it for quite some time. He plays with two bows beautifully and has produced some instructional material as well. He's not easy to track down though as he's a bit "techno-phobic" It's a shame, I'd love to have him join us here, I think there is much he could teach us!
