I was in a motorcycle crash July a year ago.I'm still not able to work.So 2 weeks ago I hear this thing called a bowed psaltery.Of course I fell in love with the sound of it.Anyway my daughter goes and buys me one for my upcoming birthday.(great daughter)!I've been playing on it for about 4 days. This thing is great therapy for my arms and shoulders.I have more movement in 4 days than in the last 6 months. Not nearly the pain either.I built me another bow yesterday to work both arms.Anyone else gone thru this.I just wanted to share.

How lovely. Thank you for sharing this. I imagine the music helps to make you to not think about the pain of movement. Good luck with your recovery and your psaltery playing!

Thank u Brenda.I hope learning the BP comes along as well as the therapy benefits.lol.I'm working on the tune Danny Boy by humming it and tab it out as i go.Probably not right, but that's ok. I'm enjoying it.It's so relaxing. I would love to learn or at least hear,Unchained Melody on the BP.U have a blessed day!!!

I think the bowed psaltery may be excellent physical and emotional therapy! Music is always good for the soul.

Keep us posted on how you're doing and I wish you a swift recovery Bubba!

I couldn't agree more Mrs.Donna.The music is so soothing and relaxing.Thank u for the kind words of a swift recovery.I'm taking it one day at a time. But I can walk now and do things I wasn't able to do.

This video is a personal favorite because it shows a unique type of bowed psaltery with a gorgeous sound. When I heard it I broke out in goose bumps!
