Sorry I  can't get to Alabama. Gregg, if you come up to Evart let me know, I'm just a jump away from there. I might drop by for a day, though it's too HD heavy for me to want to attend as a participant.

Well we are all packed and ready to go to the Down Home Psaltery Fest in Alabama. After that we may go to Ohio for Roscoe but after Alabama we may head back to visit Mountain View Arkansas, a place everyone who likes Dulcimer type music should visit at least one and Jeanie has never been. Then maybe we will try for Evart Michigan Original Dulcimer Club Fest which I've always heard is Bowed Psaltery friendly. I'm hoping we all have some great Bowed Psaltery adventures this summer and looking forward to seeing some of you out there, Happy Bowed Psaltery Trails, Gregg & Jeanie

Jeanie and I are planning a big car trip, first to Mountain View Arkansas, the "Acoustic Music Capital of America" then directly to the Down Home Psaltery Fest. People arrive Wednesday or Thursday, Friday evening is the big jam and fun get together, Saturday morning there are free workshops available. Then the competition begins followed by performances by the Bowed Psaltery players but it all wraps up by Saturday evening (another group arrives) except for getting together in the campground with no Sunday activities except Jeanie and I with whatever campers are left. The campgrounds have hot showers, laundry and a small food and stuff store. After Down Home we are going to try to go Choshocton Ohio Bowed Psaltery fun and then the "Original  Old Time Dulcimer Club Fest in Michigan before going o Pacific Rim Dulcimer Gathering in Oregon then home. If anyone has any other suggestions about dropping in on any Bowed Psaltery/Dulcimer clubs, or folk festivals we should know about please let us know!

This video is a personal favorite because it shows a unique type of bowed psaltery with a gorgeous sound. When I heard it I broke out in goose bumps!

If you are already on Tish's list, why don't you stop in and update your info? While your there take a look to see if there are new players in your area. Who knows, you might get together and make a recording.
